ToolPrize is run by a single person — a solo indie site owner who got tired of AI-tool "roundups" that read like copied press releases.

What I do

I test AI tools the way a one-person business actually uses them: sign up, ship something real, hit the limits, and decide whether it's worth the subscription. Then I write it down in plain language.

What I don't do

• I don't publish a tool I haven't used.
• I don't rank by affiliate payout — a tool has to earn the spot first.
• I don't pad reviews with specs you can read on the vendor's site.

How this site makes money

ToolPrize is reader-supported. Some links are affiliate links; if you sign up through them I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That relationship never changes a rating — if a tool is bad, it gets called bad.
